The Philippine passport has gained international acclaim for its striking design, featuring the iconic Philippine eagle on its flip cover. This design symbolizes resilience and freedom, making it a proud representation of the country's cultural identity.

The passport was highlighted by Hypebeast, a Hong Kong-based platform, in its list of the world's most aesthetically pleasing travel documents. Other countries on the list include Norway, Japan, New Zealand, and Finland, showcasing unique designs that reflect their heritage.

The Philippines issues three types of passports :

• Maroon Passport : Standard travel document for Filipino citizens.

• Red Passport : For government officials on official duty.

• Dark Blue Passport : Reserved for diplomats and high-ranking officials.
