The Philippines holds synchronized congressional and local elections every three years on the second Monday of May, excluding regional and barangay levels.
On May 12, 2025, millions of Filipinos will once again exercise their right to vote in the midterm elections, selecting new leaders for national and local positions.

General Qualifications :
Age : Philippine citizens must be at least 18 years old by noontime on election day (May 12, 2025).
Citizenship : Must be a citizen of the Philippines.
Registration : Must be a registered voter.
Disqualifications : Individuals disqualified by law, such as those convicted of certain crimes, are not eligible to vote.
Overseas Filipino Voters : Filipino citizens residing abroad who meet the age requirement and are not disqualified by law can also vote.
Specifically for the 2025 elections, Overseas Filipino voters will be able to vote for Senators and Party-List Representatives.
There are specific registration procedures and periods for overseas voters. There is a pre-enrollment process for overseas voters that want to vote online.
